A real rose covered in gold. Fits the flower theme and the jewelery theme in one gift
On quality: The rose feels like it's made of metal, its pretty heavy (a good thing). I thought it would be flimsy but it feels very substantial. The layers of coatings add quite a bit to the thickness of the rose's original dimensions. The rose petals, leaves, etc. feel solid and are firmly attached -- this is a "one piece" object with no cracks, seams, or parts. You wouldn't want to let your 3 year old play with this, however.
On appearance: It's a beautiful object. The gold gleams and highlights the rose in a very cool way, and the visual effect of a "solid gold rose" is pretty stunning, like something out of a fairy tale.(I know it's not 100% gold, it's coated with varnish and then a thin layer of gold)
