Thoroughly charming and totally hilarious, this day-in-the-life comedy, stars co-writer Ice Cube as the stoic Craig, together with his troublesome friend Smokey, a hyperactive marijuana enthusiast, played by Chris Tucker. The two ætwenty-somethingsÆ - Craig, recently fired and Smokey, terminally slacking and scamming - barely make it through this one highly eventful day. Eloquent commentary on themes like community, family, friendship and violence, is seamlessly blended with lighter treatments of young romance, bathroom emergencies, nosy neighbours and much more. Casually impeccable performances by the entire cast make this film a standout.
