The Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 VoIP Phone supports up to six lines for calls. If you need to accommodate more calls, you can purchase the expansion module and have up to 12 lines. The phone features a speakerphone and handles conference calls well. The phone features HD Voice technology that ensures that your call audio and voice communications are consistently clear and true to life. It has a backlit LCD display that is easy to navigate and customize with large buttons surrounding the screen that are clearly organized. In a busy office setting, efficiency is key, and the Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 VoIP Phone makes everything from call transfer to voice mail management as easy and intuitive as possible. Not only does it have call waiting, but it shows a call timer for each line, so that you can manage your time and direct calls in an orderly fashion. The Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 VoIP helps you prioritize and keep communication organized. Setup for the Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 VoIP Phone is quick and easy. Plug in the adapter, and the time and date are set automatically, using SNTP synchronization. You have the option of manual or dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) network setup. The Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 VoIP Phone supports Asterisk Open Source PBX, Trixbox, Switchvox, and other SIP based IP PBX platforms and services. Thanks to the phone’s SIP 2.0 software, you can use Microsoft Office Communicator instant messaging, and the Microsoft Live Communications Server. The phone features event logging, a local digit map, hardware diagnostics, password login for extra security, and status and statistics readings. The phone has dual on-board Ethernet ports with Power over Ethernet support. PoE, or Power over Ethernet, means that an attached Ethernet cable can provide both a data connection and a power supply. The phone also has a USB port that can be used to add future applications. Included with the Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 VoIP Phone is an AC power adapter and an instruction manual with setup guide. The Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 VoIP Phone with HD Voice technology and backlit LCD display, is a capable telephone for your office needs. PoE support and a USB port make data transfer quick and convenient, and expansion options allow for flexibility. With support for open SIP based IP PBX platforms and SIP 2.0 software, the Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 VoIP Phone, complies with most office network systems.
