If you are longing for a place where your heart can be quiet enough to hear God's whisper, you are not alone...and this album was made just for you! Jesus tells us in the Bible, 'Come to me and I will give you rest'. Finding true rest, peace and comfort for our souls in this world is found in time spent with Jesus alone. This album creates an atmosphere to lift your cares to the One Who carries you. While listening and joining in these prayerful songs, God's Spirit will often bring fresh revelation and inspiration. I would love to hear from you about your experience if you desire to share. The songs on this album were inspired through time spent with Jesus during different seasons of my life within a 14 year period of time. Often at night, He draws me to worship Him at my piano and to study His word, seeking Him for wisdom, seeking Him for myself and others. Sometimes, while meditating on scripture, words become songs, releasing strength, peace, rest and comfort to my heart, mind and emotions. With great joy, I am excited to share these songs with you and your loved ones! Don't be surprised if sleepless nights and anxious car rides come to an end while you and your loved ones listen and relax in the presence of God. The beauty of the musical instrumentation that accompanies me at the piano has truly made this album very special. My desire for the feel of the album to be light, relaxing and healing was accomplished through the various acoustic instruments, including classic guitar, mandolin, mountain dulcimer, ocarina and American flute played sweetly and skillfully. This album is a gift from God to you from my heart. I pray that the Lord will use these songs to bless you and your loved ones with an atmosphere of beauty and rest in your days and in your nights. May His peace and strength be felt. His love for you is so very great. It is worth mentioning, that just after the release of this album I walked through a year of cancer, experiencing two surgeries requiring much healing and down time. As I write this, I am cancer free for over two years now. One difficult night, while restless and sleepless with much going on in my heart and mind, I leaned into The Lord and I heard Him whisper, 'there's a CD that will help you...listen to it?' I sensed immediately that He was referring to 'Songs In the Night'. I will never forget this night. As I listened to my own voice singing songs of comfort, faith and love over myself, I could hear the Holy Spirit singing over me. His love and presence is near to those who call upon His name.
