    Our shop 'Touched by Karakum' features handmade items from Turkmenistan, mostly felts and quilts, that make our lives cozy and warm. My friends and I made these with you in mind, using traditional materials from the Karakum desert, like camel or sheep wool.

    Click on the video to see Traditional Turkmen carpet making art in Turkmenistan. It was created by the Secretariat of the Turkmenistan National Commission for UNESCO in 2018 to record and promote the traditional art of carpet making. Visit our store to find vintage rugs and new rugs made using these classic techniques and bring a touch of the Karakum desert to your home.

    The sweater fits perfectly and is wonderfully warm. It fits under a jacket to add that extra layer of warmth. Especially good for snowy and windy days. Also the perfect sweater for shopping in town.

    Great sweater. Perfect for cold weather. Fits well and I especially love the big pockets to keep hands warm on cold mornings. The natural camelhair is wonderful - the color is lovely. Highly recommend these items from touched_by_karakum.
