Good day,
My name is Shah Sultan Zameer ,I am originally from Srinagar ,Kashmir but have been living in beautiful Tasmania for last 10 years .I am passionate traveller and have travelled 17 countries .Spain and Turkey being the most favourite.My great-great- grandfather travelled from Istanbul( modern day Turkey ) to Kashmir and set up first rug weaving factory in Kashmir in 1850 .He was considered a master craftsman and his legacy continue for generations.The art of rug weaving was part of growing up and skills of this art were passed from one generation to another .
I am passionate about genuine Persian Kashmir silk and wool rug.I collect rugs directly from the weaver and not purchased from any middle man.This helps in better returns to the skilled artisans and their families.
