  It's quite wedgy; it will chop and split equally well. The mask is very thick leather and fits securely. The bit is line with the handle, but the edge needed a little work. The handle is very thick and will need to be thinned out, but the wood has good grain orientation, and the head seems secure. Overall, I believe the axe is worth the price.

  Solid magwell , if you try to snug the screw it will make the escutcheon strip. But the screw is in there and magwell is tight. I guess it's on there forever. Good thing it looks good and locks my hand into the grip
