    This is a VERY light-weight, thin-metal and plastic rack. I wouldn't feel safe keeping boots or other heavy shoes on this. I'm using it to store some light electronics under my desk. Several of the metal rods arrived dented, but I don't intend the rack to be seen. For the price, I'm happy with the product. I prefer 100% stainless steel--sturdier, more resistant to stains... But the stainless steel options co$t way more. It was very easy to put the rack together--no tools needed.
