I am passionate about vintage and retro fishing tackle - the craftmanship, history, design and character, nostalgia, and the sheer joy that can be derived from a split cane rod and centrepin reel. The beauty of vintage tackle is that, besides being great fun to collect, it can perform just as well today as it did the day it was made, and it truly does add an extra magical dimesion to the angling experience. So, whether you fancy trotting for Barbel with an Allcocks Match Aerial, nymphing for winter Grayling on a lightweight Hardy fly rod, or playing a big old carp on a Bruce & Walker Mk IV Avon, please do have a browse of the store and you may well find something to suit.
