We stress test every part and test functionality before we list it, unless it is otherwise noted in the listing. It is obvious that these are the original, high-quality design. These are definitely "new, old stock". Despite the age, the plastic was still intact, and, in like-new condition. These retention brackets are not necessarily universal, so please ensure that your motherboard is designed to fit them. I consider this purchase to have been a good value.
