The blades are superbly crafted and very thick. I personally have put longer handles on each of them for more leverage as I consider these far superior for home defense than a katana, which I feel is too long for interior use. I prefer my mini 14 for exterior defense and offensive capabilities.

They write silk Ito in the advertisement but it was synthetic silk really. I was disappointed in that. Other wise it's good.
