The material is thick and gently holds the stomach in without pinching. I originally bought two pairs to try them to see how they feel. After many washings they still look new. I received my 8 pairs today and am excited that I can throw all my old ones out and replace them with these new ones. I wish they would make them in white, as you can not wear the dark color under white pants. Shipping was very fast.
