When I asked for another I was given a screw type master link instead of a rivet master link. I believed this to be a mistake but they were fully aware and told me that the rivet style was on back order and told me the screw type would work just as fine which is not true! And not safe in the least! We don't carry replacement master links as we virtually never have an issue. I contacted Vortex and asked them to send the customer a replacement and was told they were on back order and would send a screw type. They assured me, as I told our customer, the screw type master link would work perfectly with the chain and would cause no issues. We did everything we could and dont' know if the customer simply put too much pressure on it.
