No protection for it. When connected it is not recognized. Tried several times with different devices totally dead. Seller wanted me to return it,when eBay requests sellers to provide return label. Seller then asked me for pictures of it so they could diagnose the problem for me. lol I provided a picture of the drive plugged in and not being recognized by the computer.
